Employment Attorney

I have learned the value of hard work through my personal, educational and professional accomplishments. I also understand that life is difficult and can be fleeting, which is why I strive to enjoy each and every moment. My advocacy for my clients reflects this commitment: to work hard and achieve the best possible outcome, while ensuring a clear path forward with a positive trajectory.

I excitedly joined the Ross Scalise Law Group as an Employment Lawyer in May 2022 because the firm mirrors my personal and professional values. I know from the firm’s countless reviews and many years of experience between the staff and attorneys that this is an outstanding employment firm dedicated to helping individuals across Texas.

"Nathan right from the start was easy to talk with and I felt he was listening to my concerns and provided very detailed guidance.

Nathan spent almost a full hour with me on phone, with no charge. That meant a lot to me, reminded me how folks used to try to help first without costing an arm and a leg just for some advice.
Nathan definitely left a good feeling for me and if I should need to hire I will definitely be checking Nathan's calendar availability.

Nathan E. Inurria

I discovered my passion for advocacy and helping those who need it most during my Eagle Scout Project in the Boy Scouts of America. I wanted to do something meaningful for my local community and different from the usual projects of building park benches or planting trees.  My project’s goal was to provide school supplies for special education students attending an Elementary School through donations from local businesses. The project was difficult, many businesses did not want to contribute donations, but through perseverance and strong advocacy I was able to present to the class the day before Christmas break, backpacks filled with school supplies. The joy and happiness expressed by the children, the gratitude and relief expressed by the parents and teachers, developed in me a greater understanding of my life goals and the person I want to be.

I bring this dedication and commitment to my clients on each and every case. After graduating from the University of Houston Law Center, I immediately began working for a Plaintiff’s firm in Houston, Texas focused on Personal Injury and Civil Rights Law. My first trial was in federal court involving the wrongful death of an inmate in a small county jail. After speaking with the family and reviewing the evidence, I knew that this profession was my calling. I developed a niche practice of employment law focusing on representing individuals with cases ranging from Title VII discrimination, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Rehabilitation Act, Non-Compete and Severance Agreements.

Through my practice of employment law over the past 5 years I have discovered that, among other things in Texas, the law generally does not favor the employee. I find this disconcerting and it is why I have committed myself to representing individuals who were, like me for many years, uninformed on their rights, protections, and ways to maneuver through the complex legal framework. I endeavor to provide each client (or potential client) with not just my advice, but understanding of how and why the system works the way it does, including the risks and benefits of each course of action.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, you may find me enjoying an Astros, Texans, Rockets, or Dynamo game. I moved to Austin in September 2021 with my wife to live closer to family with plans to get our family started soon, although our two cats would argue that they are all the “furbabies” we need. I play soccer, golf, tennis, and cycle around the greater Austin area. I enjoy being outside, but you may also find me on the couch watching the latest streaming show.
